As a young entrepreneur, David Neham drove a small fishing boat in Costa Rica, ferrying hotel guests between an isolated airport and their primitive jungle lodging. It was during this sojourn that he coined and eventually propagated the now-popular term, “Eco-Tourism”™. |
Accepting his destiny to direct spots, David left his Central American paradise and climbed directly into the belly of the beast. Moving to Portland, OR, sight-unseen, he studied every commercial in the Wieden+Kennedy vault… all while posing as an employee on the W+K payroll. Add this chutzpah and knowledge to his MFA from The Art Center College of Design and you’ll understand Mr. Neham’s fine pedigree for commercial filmmaking. |
David has since won an AICP for Tide “Have Fun” and has twice been a finalist and once a winner at the Shots/CFP-E New Director Showcase in Cannes. His Mini Cooper spec spot, "Lobster," garnered him his first inclusion on the Shots Showcase Shortlist while he later enjoyed victory with Above the Influence’s “Fitting In”. |
One thing is clear to all of his collaborators: David has an irreverent point-of-view that he can translate to film. |
